Leigh Brown screen shotThe irrepressibly funny and wise Leigh Brown, a nationally-known speaker and author (“Outrageous Authenticity”; “The 7 Deadly Sins of Sales”), is known as a sassy Southern real estate broker who is extremely popular for her no-holds-barred approach to motivation.

Leigh runs a successful real estate team in North Carolina, and is the founder/instructor of National Ethics Day. A Real Estate REvive Conference favorite, Leigh returns to host and motivate, as only she can!

 


Jessica Lautz, National Association of REALTORS®

Jessica-Lautz_881x585 CROPDr. Lautz will provide the 2021-22 market outlook. She received her Doctorate of Real Estate from Nottingham Trent University. As Vice President of Demographics & Behavioral Insights at the National Association of REALTORS®, she focuses on analyzing demographic trends for both NAR members and housing consumers. Through management of predictive analytics, surveys, focus groups and data analysis, Dr. Lautz presents new and innovative ways to showcase results. She also discusses research findings in major media outlets and international presentations. 


Dan Smith, Author-Influencer

Dan Smith Head Shot CROPDan Smith is the author of 3 books, including the #1 Best Seller “Failing Greatly, Your Guide to Achieving Success After Failure.” A top producing agent before selling his brokerage, Dan has been featured by major media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, who in 2006 named him the #9 agent in the U.S. after closing 321 transactions. An international speaker, he delivered the keynote at the 2018 World Real Estate Congress in Dubai. He’s been recognized by the National Press Club in Washington D.C. as a Real Estate Newsmaker/Influencer, and is a contributing writer to Inman News. Dan is now a principle of a successful real estate brokerage in Orange County, CA (although he describes his role as “Captain of Culture and Success Coach”).      


Katie Johnson, N.A.R. General Counsel     

Katie Johnson ssKatie will talk about the latest legal issues and litigation confronting the National Association of REALTORS® and how the outcome could impact the way you do business. As General Counsel and Chief Member Experience Officer, Katie is responsible for seeing that NAR programs, policies, and activities comply with the law; defends the association against legal challenges, and initiates litigation to protect/preserve association assets and policies. As NAR’s Chief Member Experience Officer, she leads initiatives to enhance member engagement & satisfaction that elevate member success and professionalism.

 


Cal Inman, CEO of ClimateCheck 

Caleb-Inman-bw-web_200_200Cal is a Bay Area developer and lecturer at UC Berkeley, with a Masters in Real Estate Development and Design.

A graduate of USC with a focus on real estate finance, Cal started his career working with cutting edge developer Rick Holiday on adaptive reuse and ground-up multifamily projects. He started his own practice on 2008. He lives in San Francisco with his wife and young son. 


Katie Lance, Social Marketing Expert

Jeff Turner specializes in helping technology startups understand and navigate the North American real estate market. He is also an internationally recognized speaker on topics at the intersection of technology trends and human behavior.  As founder & CEO, Jeff led the digital pre-media firm J.J. Grace onto Inc. Magazine’s list of the 500 Fastest-Growing Companies. An award-winning real estate developer, software engineer, and a serial entrepreneur, Natalia’s extensive knowledge in international real estate and crypto-economics has propelled her as a frequent panelist and speaker at blockchain and Proptech events globally. As a real estate professional, Natalia was frustrated with how time-consuming and rife with fraud real estate transactions were. Sam DeBord, CEO RESO

Sam DeBord is CEO of the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO). He has served as President’s Liaison for MLS and Data Management with the National Association of REALTORS®, managing broker for Coldwell Banker Danforth. Sam began his career as a management consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers, and is a recognized real estate industry writer for publications including REALTOR® Magazine, Inman News, and the Axiom Business Books Award-Winning Swanepoel Trends Report.

Clelia Warburg Peters, President of Warburg Realty

An innovator, investor and operator working in the Real Estate industry, Clelia is a Venture Partner at Bain Capital Ventures, focusing primarily on Proptech investing, and serves as President of Warburg Realty, where she works closely with her father, CEO Frederick Warburg Peters. In 2015, Clelia co-founded MetaProp, an early stage venture fund focused exclusively on real estate technology. Before moving into real estate Clelia was a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group, is a member of ULI’s New York Advisory Committee, serves as co-chair of REBNY’S RLS Board of Directors. She holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Yale University.


Paul Levine, Sapphire Ventures Partner

Paul joined Sapphire Ventures in 2018 and leads investments in fintech, SMB/vertical SaaS, proptech, and marketplaces. He brings decades of experience as an operator and leader of high-growth organizations including Trulia, Zillow Group, Yahoo!, and E*TRADE. A board member at Restream and Side, he led Sapphire Ventures’ team investment in AvidXchange and Tonal, and is active with investments in Current and Podium. Prior to joining Sapphire, Paul helped lead Trulia’s transformation from a private company to its merger with Zillow Group.  He has been an investor and/or advisor to over 25 tech startups. Paul holds a bachelor’s in economics and English from Amherst College, and an MBA from Stanford University.


Patricia Nakache, General Partner at Trinity Ventures

Named by Fortune as one of Venture Capital’s “most powerful female investment partners,” Patricia invests in technology-enabled consumer and business services and is an active champion of diversity in the VC and startup ecosystems. Beyond investing, she serves as a board member of the National Venture Capital Association and lecturer at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

John Kobs, CEO/Founder of Apartment List

With a degree in finance from Case Western Reserve University (Ohio) in hand, John Kobs moved to New York City to become an investment banking analyst. The Manhattan real estate market was cutthroat, and he gave himself two days to find a place to live, enduring bait-and-switch maneuvers that some brokers and landlords like to use on new residents. There must be a better way to rent in a big city. In 2011 he co-founded Apartment List, now a national rental marketplace connecting millions of landlords and renters. Kobs also co-founded Auto-List, Inc. (acquired by CarGurus in 2020), and was the founder & former CEO of Vertical Brands Labs, an incubator designed to help consumers find a home, buy a car, etc.
